Host Your Kit has presented the first of its adidas kits to a girls’ football team in Perth in Scotland.
Jeanfield Swift Girls were one of the 10 teams our judges picked as winners in the first round of Host Your Kit. Jeanfield had sent more than 100 begging letters to local businesses to try to get sponsorship for a much needed new kit for their U11s team, but their pleas fell on deaf ears. Now, their dream of a new kit has come true after they entered and won Host Your Kit.
Donna Shaw, coach of Jeanfield Swift Girls, said: “We’ve been desperate to get a new kit to show the girls how proud we are of their commitment and enthusiasm. We were really disappointed when we didn’t hear back from local businesses but now, thanks to iomart Hosting, our girls can walk onto the pitch with their heads held high. Winning Host Your Kit has brought all the Jeanfield Swift girls and their parents together and made us feel really special.”
Jane Robertson, PR Manager for iomart Hosting, who presented the team with its new adidas kit, said: “We’re delighted that Host Your Kit has been able to help Jeanfield Swift Girls Under 11s get the sponsored kit they so clearly deserve. As a leading cloud computing company we host the data and web applications for many successful businesses across the UK and with 2012 being such a massive year for sport we can now be the best host for football kits too.”
Scotland and Glasgow City player Emma Fernon is an ambassador for Host Your Kit. She said: “Host Your Kit is a fantastic competition. iomart Hosting is helping to spread the word that football is a great way to give young girls confidence and inspire them to a healthy and active lifestyle.”
In all 30 youth football teams across Scotland, England and Wales will receive an iomart Hosting sponsored adidas football kit for 14 outfield players and one goalkeeper via Host Your Kit’s retail partners Greaves Sports.
Congratulations again! #gojeanfield
